I have entered that amazing state of "post-zen" where you've slacked so much the universe shifts and suddenly you're ahead of the game.

Or something like that anyway.

As you may or may not know, we are adding another mini-me to the family sometime in the next, oh, week or two. So you see? I may not have added any pictures of Laia for the past 5 months, but I'm getting the site in order for the new babe! No, I wont tell you her name yet. And obviously I can't fill in the stuff like "length, weight, birthday" yet so you'll have to come back later for that info.

And besides, I've been home on bedrest with PIH for the last week or two and although you'd think that would mean I've have plenty of time to do things (like update a website)...well...you'd be wrong. PIH + a two year old + general family stuff + no coffee/tea = ummmm, lots of Sesame Street and Big Big World for Laia and not much for me!

But anyway, here we go...a really quick overview of everything since, um, January.

Back in May Laia and I went to the local playground and she got a little silly. By this I mean she took off at a dead run and threw herself down the "big" slide. All on her own. Ack! Let me tell you, a determined toddler can run a heck of a lot faster than the pregnant lady...

some kiddos have wings eye see you... to swoon and some have a room with a moose!

more baby!
We went to visit friends in Belmont MA during my last
"get out of town before the babe" trip.
Of course we had to visit IKEA too, but first
there was the playground visit...yay for swings!

So...about IKEA. We rented a minivan.
But the universe shifted and we "got" a Suburban.
Which is a BIG vehicle. It holds a lot of flat pack, doncha'know. Laia loved helping to "build IKEA".
And she tells everyone she meets about it too.

she picked out a toddler bed...but still prefers the couch

We had a "No Foolin' April Fool's Day Toddler Turning Two Tea Party" for Laia. She loved it! For some reason she had latched onto the idea of a tea party (or "tea a' party" as she put it) and demanded her birthday be celebrated with tea and scones and biscuits and fruit and other yummy good things. A little clotted cream, a little lemon curd, and lots of kiddos in fun and funky fancy dresses! Okay, so it was a bit crazy, but everyone had a great time.

Tea anyone? Pinkies out and at the ready!

The party hat...

Why, Mr Potato Man!

Candles are for blowing...

After a few cupcakes.

Of course, no update would be complete without a few belly pictures...we've been calling the inner child "Roro" since she wiggles when we sing Row row row the boat. And Laia has started to call Roro on the phone (Roro's number is apparently 1-2-3-4) and pat my belly now and then asking when Roro will be coming out. Though much more often Laia simply points at my belly button and informs the world that "Roro down the hole!".

So we've taken a few pictures...I'm sure more will be forthcoming in the next few weeks!
