Welcome to Zen-Insanity! Just go with the flow and try not to step on anything squishy as I update you on the Chiment-Scimeca adventure.

Rowan is 6mo now and she's found her "spot" in the family... right at the center making giggle faces at everyone. Actually, she is exploring the wonderful world of bilabial fricatives and aspirated stops (also known as raspberries and pops). She sits on her own, can roll across the floor like a whirling dervish, and stands while holding a finger or arm. We haven't started solids yet so she is still officially a mama-cheese-curd but she's getting interested.

Laia is still loving her sister, loving her play school, and in general loving being 2. She talks a mile a minute and repeats EVERYTHING she hears (usually at really inappropriate moments) so life in this house has become something of a code-experience. Mike and I are reduced to a mix of ASL, French, Turkish, and nonesense words to try and hold conversations about...oh...holiday gifts or shopping lists or the near advent of bedtime. Still it's a lot of fun to "listen in" on Laia's world view. And now that she is starting to read...well...it's fun!

We are planning to move out of the downtown core...we've found a really neat place outside town on an acre and a half. The property sits next to the Finger Lakes Trsil lands so Mike is as excited as can be. I think it will be pretty cool after we've had a chance to settle in. Of course, right now the house has no heat, no kitchen, no floors, a falling down roof, and only two rooms. An adventure!

And speaking of adventure, let's check out those pictures!

Newly home from hospital everyone wanted to snuggle...

doulas and fairy godparents too! to swoon

Then she started growing...and growing...and growing! And Laia really started upping the cute factor as the competition moved in.

Laia started Play School in September...she goes twice a week for three hours and so far is having a blast. Here she is getting ready for her first day of school, sitting outside the school, and then in her classroom showing off all the "neat stuff" she played with that day.

While Laia is at school Ro hits the streets in her Ergo or gets a little floor time without fear of big sister's feet.

And then it's time to cuddle, snuggle, giggle, wiggle and other things ending in "awwwww".
