A few days before her first birthday, a few members of the the Prudence Risley Travelling Moonshine Orchestra stopped by the house for a little old fashioned jug band music.

Or at least, some banjo-guitar-harmonica-train whistle-spoons-shaker-bouncy ball percussion music (seein' as there were no actual jugs, washboards, or wash tubs involved...and bein' as there was little white lightning to be found what with the baby and all...)
We didn't have enough people for a full on hoot'n'nanny, but Laia enjoyed the hoot...or is it nanny? Nothing like starting a little one out right in the world of music! ![]()

A few days later the weather warmed up and we took to the front porch with a few toys and a frying pan filled with water. ![]()

See? It works! Sort of funny how the weather in Ithaca can be snowy and cold and filled with sweaters one week, and "sit on the front porch splashin' in the puddles" the next. Either way, Laia is a bundle of cute!
